Security and data

Security, data and ownership

What we commit to, what stays your responsibility, and what happens to your data if you leave.

Our commitments

What Voltalyze commits to

Your data belongs to you

Customer records, appointment history, payment records and business content created in your deployment are yours. Voltalyze operates the system that holds them.

Export on request

You can request an export of your business data in a common machine-readable format while your plan is active. Exports cover records, not our software.

Separation between businesses

Each business runs in its own deployment. One customer cannot read, query or reach another customer's records.

Access is role-based

Staff see what their role allows. Owner-level actions are separated from day-to-day actions, and sensitive changes leave a trail.

Payment details stay with the payment provider

Card data is handled by the payment provider. Voltalyze does not store full card numbers.

Support access is purposeful

Our team can access a deployment to deliver support, investigate a fault or meet a legal obligation. It is not browsed casually.

Your responsibilities

What stays with you

A secure system still depends on how it is used. These stay with the business operating it.

  • Keep your own account credentials secure and do not share logins between staff.
  • Remove access for staff who leave, using the roles in the system.
  • Only enter customer data you are entitled to hold.
  • Meet the obligations that apply to your business, including consent, health information and local record-keeping rules.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Leaving

If you stop using the system

You can request an export before your plan ends. After cancellation the deployment is deactivated and data is retained only for the period set out in the product terms, then deleted. Records we are legally required to keep, such as billing records, are retained for as long as the law requires.

The exact retention period, notice period and refund position for a given product are in that product's terms rather than on this page, so there is only one authoritative version.
